This topic explains the condition of occupational noise-induced hearing loss. Excessive noise exposure at the workplace is the most common cause of occupational noise-induced hearing loss (NIHL). NIHL is a permanent hearing impairment resulting from prolonged exposure to high levels of noise. The impact of hearing loss also affects organisational and national productivity. Provision of Occupational Safety and Health (Noise Exposure) Regulations 2019 has been implemented to secure the impact of noise among the employees.
